Wilton Manors - Halloween 2017
To be honest - it's our third trip to Wilton Manors. And we've been lucky to stay at the Coral Reef Guesthouse each time. By this time, we know the manager, Aaron, very well and he's made our trips very fun and interesting - he's watched out for us and even recommended a video for us to watch!
For Halloween, Wilton Manors hosts a street party called "Wicked Manors." We decided to experience this event and traveled down to the Coral Reef on Halloween after our work commitments.
Rather than repeat the events of the prior trip, we ATE and then slowly pregamed as our group assembled for the festivities. There may have been some jello concoctions and some kind of fire ball something - I'm not confirming anything.
Our group for this adventure was big! We had Mitch, Jonathan, Mark, Marty, Avion & Wendy. So many that we needed 2 Ubers!
Highlights for Halloween: dancing in the street, people watching and attending some parties which overlooked Wilton Drive during the festivities. This night had all the elements for a good novel: fun, mischief, drama, heartache, understanding, conversation and a happy ending.
The day after Halloween, some of our group had to depart for prior commitments. So, the remaining 4 of us found a great cafe called, Living Green Fresh Market, if you're in Ft. Lauderdale, check it out.
I'm not sure if I can speak for everyone, but I was on a high after Halloween, I'm pretty sure that the 3 of us on that last day were. It was just a perfect kind of relaxing day by the pool. Overall, these two days - with this group of friends - was an experience that definitely left us "shooketh."
Having a final chill day after Halloween was totally worth it. Should your group encounter any drama, it's best to step out and let the participants discuss this in private.
